Pepino`s Mexican Restaurant in Okemah

Stopped here on way to OKC. FNL says best tamale he has had and we all liked the salsa (fresh and spicy) and everything else we ordered. Chicken fajita tacos were ample portion and just right for my diet needs (subbed salad for rice and beans) and sans sour cream and guacamole. Chips are light and thin, sophapilla served hot and fresh. Plenty of seating for large group too. Will come again.

It's ok. It was kind of bland. Service was great though.

They have excellent food and sweet friendly servers. Pepino is very customer oriented and friendly to everyone. A++

Great place to eat sum Mexican food

Our experience. ( wife and I ) was very good. Truck drivers for 23 years. We've Ate at many Mexican places. Very comparable to most. Food good and served HOT . Service great, but not overbearing. Salsa a little juicier than we like but good. Quesa excellent.DO COME HUNGRY!!! Helpings are plentiful. Well worth the Money. Would have given a 5. But this place needs a facelift.

I have yet to find anything here palatable. Nothing has flavor. It taste like canned beans and boxed rice. Plate is scalding hot, food barely warm. Place is clean, service is somewhat slow , no sense of urgency. You usually have to almost trip someone for refills. Takes several trips to kitchen b4 they ha e ALL your order complete. Sweet tea looks like Brown water and not sweet. Overall? I would drive to next town. And! I wouldn't recommend the other Mexican Rest in town either bc it is same ppl and rates with this one

The food was very good, reasonably priced, and fast. Plus, they gave us free sopapias! Definitely will stop here again.

Great food with fast and friendly service! And yes, as others have said, the salsa is amazing!! The building is a little aged on the outside but the interior is nice and clean. You will enjoy eating here.

Above-average small town Mexican food

Always good food. Quick service and cold beers. They always get my order right, and I'm vegan.

I was overall very impressed with this restaurant. The dining area and tables were spotless when we came in for lunch, and our wait staff was quick and attentive. The menu had a wide variety of options as well as many specials for very reasonable prices. The salsa was some of my favorite that I have had in Oklahoma, even though I usually prefer spicier flavors. However, the queso was a little on the bland side (pro tip, add some salsa into the queso, it tastes so good!). As for my main dish (chimichanga), the food was hot and fresh, tasted excellent, and was cooked perfectly.

So we stopped in for dinner and the food was as good as all of the reviews said it would be. Very good service and the prices were reasonable with a great staff who were on top of everything and they were not pushy even though they were very busy. 4 stars only because of the fact that the grilled chicken was so thin it could have been thicker for the price and one dinner was over flowing the plate with rice and beans and the other had very small sides. Work on the consistency of your portions and this will be a constant 5 star restaurant in a great location.

Wow, who would have thought you could get great Mexican food in this little hole in the wall place in Okemah, Ok. Loved the chips and salsa. I had the Chicken Fajitas. They were awesome. Great place to stop...if your craving some Mexican food.

Food is very good. Restaurant is clean. Popular for the lunch crowd. Staff is friend and attentive without being intrusive. Prices are reasonable. We enjoy eating here every time we're in town.
